I just got back from an epic 2-day workshop in Guatemala, working with the marketing team of a chain of luxury malls. It was organized by Spectrum, a company that specializes in creating “city cores” for malls, which means these aren’t your typical shopping centers – they offer a one-of-a-kind experience for customers.

One of the biggest ones was that they had so much content to communicate in the malls that it was overwhelming for customers, and they didn’t have a clear strategy for increasing foot traffic. This led to some confusion and disengagement from their audience.

The mall chain we worked with includes some seriously swanky spots like Oakland Mall, Miraflores, Portales, and Naranjo Mall. They’ve got everything you could want in terms of shopping, dining, and entertainment, making them truly top-notch.

During our workshop with the mall chain, we discovered that they were facing some pretty big challenges. One of the biggest ones was that they had so much content to communicate in the malls that it was overwhelming for customers, and they didn’t have a clear strategy for increasing foot traffic. This led to some confusion and disengagement from their audience.

To help them out, we came up with a strategy (straight out of my trusty DRAGONS’ den!) that focused on building trust and relatability with their customers. We wanted to make sure that their content was authentic and tapped into human emotions, while also offering value to their customers by encouraging engagement and sharing our thoughts on the industry.

We also discussed the latest social media marketing trends, like using video content to promote products and services, and even explored some innovative solutions like AI chatbots to help customers navigate through the mall and find specific stores.

Our approach was also tailored to the specific needs of luxury mall customers, so we made sure to solve problems that were unique to their niche. By implementing this strategy, the mall chain was able to structure and organize their content effectively, which led to increased customer engagement and foot traffic.

We also discussed the latest social media marketing trends, like using video content to promote products and services, and even explored some innovative solutions like AI chatbots to help customers navigate through the mall and find specific stores.

Overall, it was an amazing experience, and I had such a great time working with the team. I’m happy to say that we made some serious progress in enhancing their marketing strategies and implementing some cool new tech to improve the customer experience and grow foot traffic.

And let me just say, Guatemala is one incredible country! The people were so friendly and welcoming, and the scenery was breathtaking. I mean, from the stunning landscapes to the mouth-watering food, it was an absolute dream.

The workshop was a total success! And I’m so grateful to everyone involved for making it such a memorable trip.
